Welcome to the first blog post of Interactive Agile Insights!

We are excited to share our journey with you—how we started, why we started, and what drives us to provide top-tier education in Agile and Product Management practices.

The Beginning – Turning Challenges into Purpose

Every great endeavor begins with an idea and a struggle.The concept of Interactive Agile Insights emerged from a shared belief that something was missing in our daily work. This realization gradually became a significant concern for us.

Our struggles were clear-cut:

  • Seeking Guidance:Constantly seeking someone to talk to, a mentor or coach, to navigate the challenges work presents.
  • Lacking Purpose:Lacking a clear purpose in our work and solely depending on intrinsic motivation.
  • Lack of Drive:Observing people working merely for their paycheck, without any additional drive or enthusiasm.
  • Agile Implementation Challenges:Finding that while Agile methodologies looked promising on paper, instilling the mindset in our organization often felt like an impossible mission.
  • Implementation Struggles:Attending certifications, engaging with inspiring individuals, and learning from exceptional trainers, and yet, implementation remained elusive.
  • Process Obsession:Organizations becoming process-obsessed, implementing something for the sake of implementing.
  • Repetition of Failure:When implementation failed, we found ourselves back at square one, once again in need of a mentor or coach.

To summarize it in one sentence – doing something without understanding why you are doing it.All of these issues, and more, created a vicious cycle, making us feel like a hamster on a wheel on many days.

For these reasons and many more, we decided to start our own journey. Our aim is to assist ourselves and those who are struggling to begin, as well as those who have started but find the journey increasingly exhausting. We don’t consider ourselves superheroes, nor do we claim to have all the answers. We are learning every day and facing the same, if not greater, challenges.

We are not here to be know-it-alls. Instead, we strive to illuminate the purpose behind Agile practices and principles, empowering individuals to become Agile champions who drive innovation in product development and Scrum mastery.

The Founders – Who We Are

First and foremost, we proudly admit that we don’t have all the answers, and we don’t claim to be industry leaders. We are nonconformists challenging the status quo—not because we know better ways, but because the existing methods haven’t delivered the results we expected. We are the ones who sought help, and now we are here to offer support to those seeking it.

Our trainers are Jovan Jakovljević and Jelena Obrenović Tatalović.

Who is Jelena?

Jelena is a Product Specialist with over seven years of experience in the IT industry. She is dedicated to achieving clear, impactful outcomes that drive development forward. Jelena excels at aligning profound user needs with product and business objectives to create life-enriching solutions. Her passion lies in engaging teams with the user problems they aim to solve and amplifying product impact through meaningful features.

Who is Jovan?

Jovan is an Agile and Lean practitioner with over six years of experience in the software industry as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach. He has worked with more than 15 teams throughout his career and firmly believes that understanding the “why” behind any endeavor is crucial for team and organizational success. His passion for work is fueled by discovering the purpose within it, driving his commitment to Agile practices.

Our Approach

Our program is built on three foundational pillars: Engage, Connect, and Exchange, with interaction at its heart.

Engage

We delve deep into Agile practices, principles, and values, aiming for excellence in Agile implementation and execution. This isn’t a lecture; it’s an interactive platform where we share our experiences and learn from each other. Our focus is on real-world application and continuous improvement.

Connect

We believe in the power of connection. This program is a space where stories and challenges are shared openly. As facilitators, we don’t pretend to have all the answers. Instead, we are active listeners, fostering an environment where every participant’s voice is heard and valued. Our goal is to build a community of support and collaboration.

Exchange

Our program includes a series of learning modules and a hands-on simulation of a product assignment. This provides newcomers with a realistic introduction to the industry and offers seasoned professionals advanced tools and practices to overcome challenges. The heart of our program is the exchange of knowledge and experiences, empowering each participant to grow and succeed.

This program is about more than just learning; it’s about building lasting connections and a supportive community. Together, we will engage in this journey, connect with one another, and exchange valuable insights.

Looking Ahead

We have already welcomed our first group of amazing participants, and their feedback has inspired us to enhance our program for the next cohort, which we eagerly anticipate. In the meantime, we will share more details about the program, including the learning modules it consists of, providing a deeper insight into our ongoing work.

In the coming months, we will be launching our new website and preparing for our autumn cohort.
